The EU has initiated an investigation concerning the possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures imposed by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1331/2011 on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel originating in the People’s Republic of China by imports consigned from India, whether declared as originating in India or not, and making such imports subject to registration.

Regulation

The EU has terminated an expiry review of the anti-dumping measures applicable to imports of certain polyethylene terephthalate originating in the People’s Republic of China.

Decision

The EU has made imports of certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel originating in Russia and Brazil subject to registration.  An anti-dumping proceeding was initiated on 7 July 2016.  A provisional determination will be made by May 2017 but, if anti-dumping duties are adopted, they can be backdated to 6 January 2017 when the registration came into effect.
